What is The Planet Wisdom Weekend?  

PlanetWisdom is about discipleship. The goal is to help students move from spiritual adolescence into a mature faith. Planet Wisdom's speakers and worship leaders are passionate about empowering students to become thinking, growing, authentic followers of Jesus Christ. And they are committed to supporting parents and youth workers in the local church.

The Planet Wisdom weekend is designed to engage the whole person- the heart and the head. With the combination of solid biblical teaching from Mark Matlock, powerful worship led by "Dutton", interactive audience exercises, and thought provoking, funny skits from The Skit Guys, your students will be ministered to on every level, and they won't get bored!

Your students will leave with more than an emotional high. They'll leave PlanetWisdom with greater knowledge of God's wisdom, and a deeper understanding of how to apply it to their daily lives.    Mark Matlock  
Mark is passionate about discipleship and the transformational power of God’s Word. For more than 17 years he has worked with students, and his teaching style engages teenagers in a powerful way.      The Skit Guys
Tommy and Eddie use humorous skits (hence the name!) to speak to students about life and truth in a way that really gets through. Their skits add an exciting dimension to the weekend as they reinforce the learning that’s already taking place. On the web http://www.skitguys.com/
     Dutton 
Each member of Dutton feels called to create music that draws people into God's presence, and they have used this calling to lead in corporate worship settings across the country for the past four years. Their home church is now The Heights in Richardson, TX, where they lead worship on Sunday mornings.    On the web http://www.duttonband.com/ 

What Are The Travel Details?

Cost: Total cost for the Planet Wisdom Weekend is $95.00. This includes admission, materials, transportation, hotel, and a conference t-shirt.

Scholarships: We don’t want finances to keep a student from attending. If a scholarship is needed, or if you’d like to provide a scholarship for another student, please contact Kevin at 253-3411 or by email at kglenn@bayshorebaptistchurch.com

Chaperones: No Bayshore youth trip or event is complete without a group of committed adults coming to help make the weekend smooth and safe. However, rumor has it that these adults have been known to have just as much fun as the students!! If you are interested in coming along as one of our "designated grown-ups", let Kevin know.
